Captain Nicholas Adagio

Rumour has it that the captain used to trade in illegal goods, has had his hand in piracy and smuggling, but few dare accuse him openly, since he is know to have s short temper and is quick to draw his swords.

At this time the captain is stranded in Moonhaven since his ship was taken over by his first mate and left port without the captain. This has made the captain's mood darker than usual, a condition that is not likely to improve until he can lay his hands on the thieving scoundrel that stole his ship and cargo.

His opinion of the people in Moonhaven is that they are a fat and lazy bunch, spineless and living a too easy life. Only a few good looking serving wenches and dancers meets his approval, but beeing a careful man he treats the High Queen and her closest allies with due respect, at least openly. His means of supporting himself is not known but there are rumours circulating.

The captain will challenge anyone that happens to cross his path and doesnt move out of his way fast enough when his mood is not at the best, and be roleplaying angry and agressive for a while before starting any exchange of blows. Groups of fighters have been know to try to arrest the captain and bring him before the high queen for sentencing due to his habits of stirring up trouble, mostly with no or little success.

Combat conduct
===========
  • Fighters at a lower level will/may be given a handicap where the captain fight with a correspondingly less powerful weapon. Even landlubbers, halfbreeds and pointy ears deserve a fighting chance, and fights where the outcome is uncertain is more fun for both parts. Details can be managed OOC in IM before the fight.

  • Combat can end if the opponent lies down and crawls in the dust, sucessfully runs away or the captain can decide that enough is enough.

  • When in danger of loosing the captain might try to run away and hide (not tp and not removing meter).

  • Use of bandages for healing is considered fair even during battle, as it replaces a weapon.

  • When health reaches 0, the opponent is considered seriously wounded and unable to fight (not dead, the captain doesnt beleive in resurrection and black magic), roleplay about the final fate of the defeated can then take place.


Roleplay
======
The captain knows hes not a very good roleplayer, but he does his darned best to improve.

The biggest obstacle to good roleplay in the captains opinion is Godmodding, it beats metagaming hands down. Every strength must have a weakness, flying, shapeshifting and use of magic must take its toll on the users strengh or stamina.


OOC Info
======
He is at heart a nice and friendly person and will help as much as he can, and will also spar and give help to anyone wanting or needing combat instructions. Or any other SL help he can supply.

He truly beleives that the people of Moonhaven needs to learn the hard ways of the Seven Seas to get a more interesting mix of characters and roleplay. Always nice gets a bit booring.

One xp lost is regained in two hours, but the experience and fun of some good roleplay and combat stays and there is also the chance of gaining one xp.

Go for it, dont let the captain get away with his rude and arrogant ways.
